Dr. Patricia López
Dr. Patty Lopez is a Senior Platform Applications Engineer at Intel Corporation, working with customers to deliver Xeon server chip solutions that power high end data centers and mission critical applications. Prior to joining Intel in 2008, she spent 19 years as an Imaging Scientist for Hewlett Packard, creating and transferring technology in imaging products. She has released over fifty products and holds seven imaging patents. She earned her BS (with honors), MS, and PhD in Computer Science from New Mexico State University (NMSU). Her research interests include CS education, E-textiles, and wearable computing. Her volunteer efforts are focused on building the STEM pipeline for K-16 and beyond, and creating an inclusive organizational culture in the workplace.

Mariana Costa is the co-founder and CEO at Laboratoria, a social enterprise that gives young women from low-income backgrounds a career in tech. She has worked in development projects throughout Latin America, holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University in New York. Most recently she had the honor of sharing a panel with President Obama and Mark Zuckerberg at the 2016 Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Stanford University, and was recognized by the BBC as one of 2016’s most influential women.

Its first creation aims to fill the gaps of information about women’s heart health with a product that integrates into women’s brassieres allowing meaningful data to be collected, analyzed and made accessible to users, doctors and medical professionals for personalized healthcare.

Anne Hester
Anne Hester is a Partner Software Engineering Manager at the Windows & Devices Group division at Microsoft. She leads a group of 90 software engineers split in 11 teams which deliver complete “verticals” (backend services, API layer, and UX front-end) in four core areas of investment for the group. Anna has a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Her undergraduate degree was in Computer Engineering, also from PUC-Rio. She was hired by Microsoft in 1999 after completing her Masters. She developed professionally from an entry-level software engineer to a managers-of-managers while at the company. Anna is deeply involved in initiatives that aim to attract more women to the software engineering discipline. She also champions work culture & policies improvements which seek to make it easier for everyone to conciliate careers in the high-tech industry with raising & supporting a family.

Monica Rivera is Software Engineer in the Artificial Intelligence Core (AI Core) group, at Microsoft. Before joining AI Core, she worked for the SQL Server group, during the SQL Server 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2014 releases. Her focus was in manageability features that included SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Data Collector and In-Memory OLTP. She earned her BS and MS degrees in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University.
