Yina Arenas
Yina leads engineering for Microsoft Graph, one of the highest-profile engineering projects at Microsoft, bringing Microsoft’s APIs of disjointed technologies into a new world of unified interfaces. During her career at Microsoft, she has been building the platform that enables the developer ecosystem to build applications that access data and relationships between Office and all Microsoft Cloud services. Yina is from Bogotá, Colombia and joined Microsoft in 2010 after graduating with a Master’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Virginia. Currently a Search Outreach Specialist at Google, Aurora supports site owners and content creators in improving content accessibility through search. Before joining Google in her previous role as a Brand Specialist, Aurora spent time at both Twitter and Youtube. She also has a background in journalism. Before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, Aurora lived in Dublin and Madrid. She received her Undergraduate degree at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, and her Masters at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Spain.

After 10 years working in software development companies, she decided to found Elemental, a pioneering company in the training of young talents in the technology area. Thanks to which she won the Innovators Under 35 award from the prestigious MIT Technology Review and was later selected to participate in the Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative 2016 program led by former President Barack Obama.
